                               SECTION - A
1. Read the passage given below carefully and answer the question that follow :

         Discipline  is the necessity of life. A man without Disciple can achieve nothing worth while in the life. Discipline is the very important condition of progress, stability and and strength. Disciple is necessary in all walk of human life. Without disciple there will be disorder and lawlessness. In a civilized society we can not live without having some regard for the welfare of others. Respect for authority is the basis of Discipline. Children must obey their parents . In School and college their must be  Disciple, otherwise education will suffer. We find evidence of discipline all around us - even in the world of nature and the world of animals.  Disciple cost is nothing but it win a lot.  Disciple help us to safeguard our interest and restrains us form misusing our liberty.

      All religious heads and many philosophers have emphasized on simple living and high thinking. Many have adopted this golden principle an achieved greatness in life. St. Vivekanand , Dayanand , Kabir , Tolstoy , Vinoba Bhave , Mahatma Gandhi and many others believed an followed his principle and achieved the high of greatness.
     Now the world is changing very fast and old values are no more cared for. Now greatness goodness and success is measured by the yardstick of wealth one has. The main aim of life is to earn more money and spend it luxurious. Simple living is no longer a motto of life. High ideals of patriotism, safeless devotion to society , sacrifice and service are considered hollow words.
   But the old saying still holds good and people who practise it lead a peaceful and satisfied life.

18. .Read the following passages carefully and answer the question that follows:                                                              5x1=5
  I tried to feed him by somehow putting a thin cotton wool wick, dipped in milk to his mouth, but he was unable to upon his mouth and the drops of milk only slid down from both side. Only after several hours of tending could I manage to pour one drop of water in his mouth. But, on the third day he become so much better and assured that he would use his two tiny claws to hold my finger and gaze all around with his blue , glass-beads -like eyes. And in three- four months, he astonished everyone with his smooth fur, bushy tail and naughty, refulgent eyes.
         A transformation from common to proper noun followed and we started calling him, GILLU! I hung a light weight flower basket lined with cotton wool on the window with the help of wire. For two years, this was Gillu's abode. All were pleasantly astonished at his antics and intellect.
